Properties of neutral alumina for chromatography: The product is white, fine powder, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, non-powder, non-cracking, maintaining a certain strength, neutral after mixing with water, insoluble in water and organic solvents. It is dissolved in strong acid and alkali solution by heating. The particle size is uniform, and the air permeability and water permeability are good after filling. It has moderate pore volume, specific surface area and activity.


Main Purpose: This product is a good purifier in the process of decolorization and impurity removal of the extract of effective ingredients from traditional Chinese medicine, and will not produce harmful substances in use. In addition, it is also widely used in chromatography and drying process.

 


The specific process of activation and reuse of chromatographic neutral alumina is as follows:


(1) The used chromatographic neutral alumina raw material is put into the reactor, water is added, and sodium hydroxide is added, which is fully stirred and cleaned, so that the adsorbate on the particle surface can be separated from the carrier.


(2) The cleaned chromatographic neutral alumina is fully rinsed with clean water to remove adsorbates, neutralized by hydrochloric acid, dehydrated by centrifuge and removed.


(3) The dehydrated chromatographic neutral alumina is put into the pot and heated. The residual impurities on the surface of the carrier are coked or gasified. The surface of the carrier is thoroughly removed so that all the channels are open.


(4) sieve and purify the coke dust particles in the process of smelting and firing.


(5) Cooling in oxygen space to make the surface of particles free and stable. Chromatographic neutral alumina reduces to particles and restores its activity.
